Ramallah Federation
The city of Ramallah, “God’s Hill”, is located 10 miles north of Jerusalem. In the
1900’s, the residents of Ramallah began to immigrate to the United States. This
immigration accelerated in the late 1940’s with the advent of the 1948 war in Palestine.
Throughout cities in the United States there are now over 50,000 people whose origins
can be traced back to Ramallah.* To maintain their ties, these people established
the Ramallah Federation in 1958. Chapters were formed in major cities throughout
the Untied States creating the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine.
Shortly thereafter, the Federation in it’s commitment to helping the needy and less
fortunate, established the tax-exempt American Ramallah Federation Educational and
Charitable Fund. We have been granted tax-exempt status under U.S. Internal Revenue
Code section 501 (c)(3).
